Font Setup Configuration

The IOT application requires proper font configuration on the host operating system to ensure correct text rendering in web interfaces, reports, and graphical elements.

2. Installation Instructions

2.1. Debian/Ubuntu Systems

# Update package list
sudo apt-get update

# Install required font packages
sudo apt-get install fontconfig libfreetype6

2.2. RedHat/CentOS/Fedora Systems

For newer systems (RHEL 8+/CentOS 8+/Fedora):

# Install required packages
sudo dnf install fontconfig freetype-devel

For older systems (RHEL 7/CentOS 7):

# Install required packages
sudo yum install fontconfig freetype-devel

2.3. SUSE/openSUSE Systems

# Install font packages
sudo zypper install fontconfig freetype2-devel

3. Post-Installation

3.1. Refresh Font Cache

After installing fonts, refresh the system font cache:

sudo fc-cache -fv

3.2. Verify Installation

Check that fonts are properly installed:

# List available fonts
fc-list | head -5

4.1. Common Issues

Broken text rendering: Install missing font packages using your system’s package manager

Fonts not appearing: Rebuild font cache with sudo fc-cache -fv
