Deactivate Service

1. Overview

This screen provides a guided interface to deactivate services on a CPE device. Operators can search for a device, review its associated provisioning parameters related to active services, select one or more services to remove, and submit a deactivation request. Each deactivation operation is tracked by a Batch ID for status monitoring.

2. Functionality and usage

  • Select CPE ID type – Choose Serial or MAC. Note that “MAC” refers to the MAC address on the CPE’s active WAN connection (not the LAN interface).

  • Enter CPE ID – Provide the serial number or MAC address.

  • Note: Additional parameters may be used for search execution: Product class and Manufacturer OUI. When these values match entries in the system configuration files (see section Friendly TR69 Provision Portal Configuration), only relevant data is displayed; otherwise, default provisioning data is shown.

  • Search – Click the Search button. If provisioning data exists in the database, fields are auto-populated; if not, the screen displays default values for the device.

2.2. Provisioning Parameters

  • Service checkbox – Defines which service(s) will be deactivated upon submission.

  • Predefined values – Displayed based on default settings in params.xml or existing entries in the provisioning database.

  • Read‑only fields – Parameter values are non-editable and reflect current configuration for the selected services.

2.3. General Options

  • Submit – Click Submit to invoke the RemoveServices web service for the selected services.

  • Batch ID – A read‑only Batch ID is returned by RemoveServices as a reference for this deactivation transaction. Use this ID on the Get status tab to monitor progress.
