Provision Portal Replace CPE

Replace CPE defines model rules that map identifiers from a source device to a target device. Each model rule contains mappings for params, objects (and object params), and services.

When to use it

Use Replace CPE when you need to:

  • add or update model rules for replaceCPE.xml,

  • review mappings before applying a full snapshot save,

  • import or export replaceCPE.xml safely with dry-run previews.

Permissions

  • VIEWER — browse and export.

  • EDITOR / ADMIN — edit, import, and save.

VIEWER accounts run in read-only mode. Save and import apply are disabled.

Understand model rules

Each rule matches a model by four fields:

  • From OUI

  • From product class

  • To OUI

  • To product class

Empty values are allowed and act as wildcards. Mapping rows require all From/To fields and cannot be empty.

Create or edit a rule

  1. Click New model rule or select an existing rule.

  2. Fill the match fields (empty values act as wildcards).

  3. Add mappings in the Params, Objects, or Services tabs.

  4. Click Save changes to replace the full snapshot.

Validation and duplicates

  • Mapping rows require non-empty From/To values.

  • Duplicate keys are not allowed and are case-sensitive.

  • Save is blocked until required fields are filled and duplicates are resolved.

Import replaceCPE.xml (dry-run required)

  1. Click Import.

  2. Upload replaceCPE.xml and wait for the dry-run analysis.

  3. Review the structured diff list and details panel.

  4. If warnings exist, enable Allow warnings.

  5. Click Apply import.

The Replace CPE diff is key-based, so ordering does not affect change detection.

Export replaceCPE.xml

  1. Click Export to download the current snapshot.

Safety notes

  • Save replaces the entire snapshot.

  • Import apply is blocked while dry-run errors are present.
