Single Device

1. Overview

The Single Device page displays all devices with active or historical monitoring. Clicking a device row opens its KPI graph page.

2. Filtering

Devices can be filtered by:

  • Manufacturer — Only devices of the specific manufacturer will be shown

  • Model — Only devices of the specific model will be shown (if manufacturer is selected, only relevant models will be displayed)

  • Group — Only devices related to a specific group will be shown (see Group Filtering)

  • Serial — Only devices with the specific serial number will be shown

  • IP address — Only devices with the specific IP address will be shown

  • MAC address — Only devices with the specific MAC address will be shown

  • Quick search — Performs a search across every column and filter-related value that contains the input

The recycle bin icon in the Action column is available only for devices with no active monitoring.

3. KPI Graphs

After selecting a device (clicking on the relevant row), KPI graphs are displayed for all monitored parameters.

3.1. Date Filter

  • Real-time (default) — Shows the most recently collected (today) values and new data is added on the fly (if monitoring is still in progress)

  • Date range — Shows data for a selected time period

Use the Build graph button after each Date filter change. All KPIs that match the device data for the chosen period of time will be displayed.

3.2. Multi-Instance Parameters

KPI graphs for parameters of objects with multiple instances will have the number of lines according to the number of instances of the parent object. The KPI parameter name is formed as a full parameter path with instance numbers replaced by the i character (e.g., InternetGatewayDevice.LANDevice.i.WLANConfiguration.i.MaxBitRate).

3.3. Graph Interaction

  • Hover — Hovering the mouse pointer over a checkpoint shows its value and exact timestamp. Matching (by timestamp) checkpoints of other graphs are also shown simultaneously.

  • Zoom in — Hover the mouse pointer over the left or right border of the graph and drag horizontally to select the area to zoom into. Release the mouse button to complete the zoom. All graphs zoom together to the same timeframe. It is possible to zoom in further using the same method.

  • Zoom out — Double-click within any graph to reset to the initial view (before the first zoom-in).

3.4. Graph Colors

All KPI graphs with triggered alarms are colored according to the threshold and condition:

Color Meaning

Blue

No alarms triggered for the monitored parameter

Red

Critical alarm triggered for the monitored parameter

Yellow

Major alarm triggered for the monitored parameter

Green

Minor alarm triggered for the monitored parameter

3.5. Graph Components

Each graph consists of the following components:

  • KPI name — Name of the KPI

  • Monitored parameter(s) — Name(s) of the monitored parameter(s), shown when the mouse pointer is placed over the relevant graph checkpoint area

  • Checkpoint timestamp — Displays the date and time of the highlighted checkpoint(s)

  • Checkpoint value(s) — Value(s) of the highlighted checkpoint(s)

  • Gap — Break in the KPI graph when the device does not bring data during the monitoring interval (e.g., device offline)

3.6. Graph Layout

  • Rearrange — To change graph position on the screen, click and hold the left mouse button on the graph title and move it to the desired location (vertically or horizontally)

  • Collapse — Click the - icon to collapse a graph

  • Expand — Click the + icon to expand a collapsed graph

The KPI graphs order and states (collapsed or expanded) are saved automatically for users with Admin permissions.

4. Wi-Fi Issues Resolved

Devices supporting Wi-Fi Neighboring Diagnostic display four additional KPI graphs:

  • Wi-Fi collisions for 2.4GHz — Displays all 2.4GHz networks currently using the same channel as the monitored device

  • Wi-Fi collisions for 5GHz — Displays all 5GHz networks currently using the same channel as the monitored device

  • Channel change for 2.4GHz — Displays all channel change procedures for the 2.4GHz network

  • Channel change for 5GHz — Displays all channel change procedures for the 5GHz network

The Resolve Wi-Fi issues procedure is activated via the Monitoring tab of the Management Portal application; the *.NeighboringWiFiDiagnostic.DiagnosticsState parameter must be initialized for monitoring.

The location of *.NeighboringWiFiDiagnostic.DiagnosticsState parameter is determined by the protocol type of the device. This parameter can also be located in the vendor-specific branch of the device parameters tree.

When the configured signal strength threshold (see Settings > General) is reached, IoT ACS initializes a network channel reset for the device, forcing it to change the current channel to a less loaded channel.

The Wi-Fi KPIs are not available from the KPIs page.

5. FCC Diagnostics

It is possible to monitor throughput. Monitoring can be activated via Group Update from the Management Portal application for IPPing, Download, and Upload diagnostics with reactivation and Add results to monitoring data selected.

The device must support all three diagnostics: IPPing, Download, and Upload.

Once monitoring is activated and the corresponding data is collected, the following four graphs are displayed:

  • DownloadDiagnostic — Download speed for the monitored device

  • UploadDiagnostic — Upload speed for the monitored device

  • IPPingDiagnostic — Complex graph of average response time and success count

  • SuccessCount — Success count (in percent) of IPPing diagnostic

The FCC diagnostic KPIs are not available from the KPIs page.
