What you can do with FT Configs UI

With FT Configs UI you can:

  • browse configuration structures (frames, parameters, services),

  • export the current state as a snapshot (backup),

  • prepare and validate changes using dry-run,

  • safely apply changes using controlled import flows,

  • work with different client types and modules.

FT Configs UI is designed to prevent accidental changes. Potentially dangerous actions (like imports) always require validation and explicit confirmation.

Roles & permissions

VIEWER

Read-only access. Can browse and export configurations.

EDITOR

VIEWER access + can edit configurations (create/update/delete/import).

ADMIN

EDITOR access + user management (create/edit/disable/delete users).

If you do not see an action described in this guide (for example, Import or Edit), your role may not allow it.

Safety-first mindset

When working in FT Configs UI, always remember:

  • Export before you change anything.

  • Never skip dry-run.

  • Read warnings and errors carefully.

  • Verify the client type and module before confirming changes.
