Provision Portal Replace CPE
|
This module is not available in the current version. It will be available in a future version. Use this page for reference only. |
Replace CPE defines model rules. A model rule maps identifiers from a source device to a target device. CPE means customer-premises equipment. Each model rule contains mappings for params, objects (and object params), and services.
Where to find parameter descriptions: Each model field has a hint about the supported wildcards. Other fields show labels only.
When to use it
Use Replace CPE when you need to:
-
add or change model rules in replaceCPE.xml,
-
review the mappings before you save the full snapshot,
-
import or export replaceCPE.xml with dry-run previews.
Before you start
Check your role:
-
VIEWER can browse and export.
-
EDITOR and ADMIN can also edit, import, and save.
| A VIEWER account works in read-only mode. The save and import actions are disabled. |
Model rules
A rule matches a model with four fields:
-
From OUI (organizationally unique identifier)
-
From product class
-
To OUI
-
To product class
An empty match value is allowed and works as a wildcard. A mapping row needs a value in all From and To fields.
Add or change a rule
-
Click New model rule, or select an existing rule.
-
Fill the match fields. An empty value works as a wildcard.
-
Add mappings in the Params, Objects, or Services tab.
-
Click Save changes.
Expected result: Save changes replaces the full snapshot.
Validation rules
-
A mapping row needs non-empty From and To values.
-
Duplicate keys are not allowed. Keys are case-sensitive.
-
You cannot save until you fill the required fields and remove the duplicates.
Import replaceCPE.xml
A dry-run is required before the import.
-
Click Import.
-
Upload the replaceCPE.xml file.
-
Wait for the dry-run analysis.
-
Review the structured diff list and the details panel.
-
If the dry-run shows warnings, select Apply despite warnings.
-
Click Apply import.
| The diff uses keys, so the order of the entries does not change the result. |
