Troubleshooting
This page lists common problems in FT Configs UI and their solutions.
Login problems
- The UI sends you back to the login page again and again
-
Your session has expired. Sign in again.
- You see the Set your password dialog
-
You must set a new strong password before you continue. See Password Management.
- Login fails with "Invalid username or password."
-
You entered a wrong username or password. Check both values. After many failed attempts, the system can lock the account for a short time. In this case, contact an administrator.
- Login shows "Server is unavailable. Please try again later."
-
The backend can be down or unreachable. Wait a moment and try again. If the error stays, contact your system administrator.
Session expiration
Your session ends after a period of inactivity. The UI then opens the login page.
-
You lose unsaved changes. Save your work often.
-
After you sign in again, open the module you worked in.
Import issues
- The dry-run fails
-
The import file has errors. The UI shows an error message for each wrong entry. Fix the errors in the file and run the dry-run again.
- You see REPLACE warnings
-
REPLACE mode can delete the entries missing from the upload. Before you apply the import, check the file and the client type.
- You see file format errors
-
The file does not match the format of the module. Use the format of the module:
.properties,.xml,.json,.yml, or.zip. - A large file takes long to import
-
The UI needs more time for a very large file. Do not close the page and do not open another page during the import.
Disabled actions or read-only banner
If you are a VIEWER, the UI blocks the create, edit, delete, and import actions. You can read and export only. To get edit access, ask an administrator to change your role to EDITOR or ADMIN.
Validation errors
- "Value must be numeric" (FCC Config)
-
The value field accepts only numbers. Remove all other characters.
- "Template XML is not well-formed" (Hardcoded Event)
-
Your XML has syntax errors. Check for unclosed tags, missing quotes, and invalid characters.
- "Body must be valid JSON" (Set Parameter Result Template)
-
Your JSON body has syntax errors. Check the JSON with a JSON validator.
- "Key already exists"
-
The entry key must be unique in the module. Use a different key or edit the existing entry.
- "Password must contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one number and one special character"
-
A new password must have 8 to 64 characters. It must have one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one digit, and one special character (
@ $ ! % * ? &). It can contain only Latin letters, digits, and these special characters.
Network and backend errors
If pages do not load or actions fail, check the backend connection and your environment.
- HTTP 401 (Unauthorized)
-
Your session has expired. Sign in again.
- HTTP 403 (Forbidden)
-
You do not have permission for this action. Check your role.
- HTTP 404 (Not Found)
-
The resource does not exist. Another user can have deleted it.
- HTTP 409 (Conflict)
-
Another user changed the resource. Refresh the page and try again.
- HTTP 500 (Internal Server Error)
-
The server has an error. If the error stays, contact your system administrator.
If the problem comes and goes, export a snapshot and stop all changes until the system is stable.
Unavailable modules
- A module card shows "Available in future versions"
-
The current release does not enable this module. Only the ACS application is available now. Angular Console, Northbound Config, Service API, and Provision Portal will be available in future versions.
Password issues
- You cannot set a new password
-
The password does not meet all requirements. Use 8 to 64 characters with a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a digit, and a special character. Do not use common words such as "password", "qwerty", or "admin".
- The UI shows "New password must differ from the current one." or "New password must differ from the temporary one."
-
You cannot reuse a password. Choose a different password.
- Caps Lock warning
-
The UI shows an indicator on password fields if Caps Lock is on. Switch Caps Lock off.
